Abuja Man Caught for Selling Fake Cooking Oil

  A man has been apprehended in Abuja for allegedly producing and distributing fake cooking oil to unsuspecting members of the public. The arrest was carried out by local vigilantes operating under the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory. According to John Samuel, the commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) in the region, the suspect—identified as Peter Amos—was caught on Friday night in the Tipper Garage area of Kabusa district. It was revealed that this location was not only his residence but also the place where he engaged in the illicit activity. Footage obtained by  Daily Trust  on Sunday, April 20, shows the suspect confessing to his actions. In the video, Amos detailed how he would prepare the counterfeit oil by filling five-liter containers with water, then adding a small amount of actual cooking oil to create the illusion of a full container.
